Adult Services

Part time 24-32 hours per week (3-4 days per week) - Flexible, specific hours/days to be discussed at interview

Please note: This role will include some evenings and weekend working

Salary: Band 7

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead Nurse- Adult Services to join our team at Diverse Abilities and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding, person-centred care for individuals with complex needs.

What will you be doing? ‍ ‍

Clinical Leadership & Care Delivery

  • Lead on assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for adults with complex health needs

  • Support and guide staff to deliver holistic, person-centred care

  • Champion dignity, respect and independence

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Play a key role in safeguarding processes and referrals

  • Ensure compliance with CQC, Ofsted and infection control standards

  • Conduct audits and implement quality improvements

Team Leadership & Support

  • Manage and supervise the adult nursing team

  • Provide mentorship, supervision and clinical guidance

  • Support service managers with key clinical decisions

  • Step in to cover senior nursing roles when required

Training & Development

  • Deliver clinical training and assess staff competencies

  • Promote continuous professional development and evidence-based practice

  • Contribute to clinical policy updates and working groups

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with families, external professionals and multidisciplinary teams

  • Support service transitions and continuity of care

  • Maintain strong communication with external agencies

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Current professional registration with strong clinical experience (e.g. Registered Adult Nurse)

  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to best practice

  • Recent senior‑level experience in an acute clinical setting

  • Experience working with adults and/or children with disabilities

  • Excellent communication, organisation and decision‑making skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across services

  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Safeguarding Practices, CQC and Ofsted frameworks

  • UK Manual driving license with business insurance and use of own vehicle

Desirable (or willingness to develop):

  • Experience in training delivery
