Company events: We run a variety of company events throughout the year. This includes our Christmas party, Santa’s grotto, Summer BBQ and many more. This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know your colleagues in the numerous services across the Charity.
Cycle to work: This enables you to spread the cost of purchasing a bike, while making tax efficient savings.
Blue Light Card: This offers you a wide range of discounts at multiple stores, restaurants etc. We will reimburse you the cost for your first Blue Light Card, just send us the receipt once you’re all signed up.
Development & Training: Diverse Abilities provides training & learning opportunities for all employees to ensure they can reach their full potential and fulfil their duties for their role. All staff are paid to attend training courses and the courses are offered in a variety of methods. We encourage staff to achieve a relevant workplace qualification, which are fully funded and for some maybe a requirement for their role. We have a team of experts to support staff to develop in a learning centred way and pride ourselves on the robust induction and on-going programmes we provide to ensure we are the best place to provide excellent services to all those we serve.
Gym Membership: We have long standing relationships with a selection of local gyms offering discount to our employees.
Long Service Awards: We reward our employees for their loyalty to Diverse Abilities. This includes a voucher when you reach 5 years of service and then a bonus and additional annual leave for every 5 years you hit after that (e.g. 10, 15 years etc.)
Employee Wellbeing: We take the wellbeing of our employees very seriously and offer support and guidance on a range of topics including emotional wellbeing, mental-health, financial wellbeing, and more. Offer support through an external councillor – Diverse Abilities will cover the cost of six sessions.
Refer a friend: We offer up to £250 per referral if you refer a friend to work for us and they meet certain criteria/targets.
Annual Leave: You are entitled to six weeks annual leave, pro-rated depending on when you start with us and the hours you work (excluding Langside and other term-time only positions).
Sick Pay: You are entitled to company sick pay after reaching 12 months service. Your entitlement can be found in our Sickness Policy.
Ad-Hoc Rewards: As a thank you for all your hard work we arrange for a coffee cart or pizza van for you to enjoy in your break once a quarter.
