Job Title: Team Leader

Service: Supported Living

Location: Supported Living Office.

You may be required to travel to multiple services across Dorset               

Salary/Hourly Rate: £26,262.60 per annum

Hours per week / Rota:  39 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Contract Type: Perm

Overview of role:

 We are looking for a Team Leader to lead and manage a team in providing support and personal care to people who have physical and /or learning difficulties to live in their own homes.

Manage the service and work within the overall framework of Diverse Abilities’ Policies and Procedures, Commissioning and CQC standards and all legal requirements

Work in partnership with and promote positive relationships with families, friends, and other professionals representing Diverse Abilities in a professional manner

It’s the team leader’s responsibility to ensure the service hours are covered, to organise shift cover within your team and report to the Resource Planner if all options have been exhausted

Participate in the on-call system for Supported Living

Manage regular team meetings, including people we support where appropriate

Mentor one or more staff to develop their skills working towards career progression within Diverse Abilities.

Ensure the service provided fully reflects the needs and wishes of those it supports through ongoing person-centred planning whilst adhering to all legal frameworks. Ensure that services provided strive to be in line with the REACH standard in Supported Living

 Essential Skills Required

Full, UK Manual Driving License

Vehicle Business Insurance required

Willingness to work towards Diploma Level 3 and 4 or equivalent if you don’t already have this qualification
