Business Support

Why not partner with Diverse Abilities? Being one of our partners allows you to have some fun while supporting disabled children and adults throughout Dorset.

Our partnerships are flexible and constructed to suit you. You could take part in a fundraising event, choose us as your charity of the year, donate items or services, volunteer, and so much more. We can guarantee that you’ll be in good company.

We work with a range of businesses, community groups and individuals in the Dorset area, which ensures our vital services can continue to run. You can pop in and see what our services are doing at any time and see the impact your support has had, get in touch today and make an appointment.

How can we partner with Diverse Abilities?

Charity of the Year

Many companies choose to focus their charitable support on a different charity each year.  Charities can normally be nominated by staff, managers or a committee, so please do nominate us if you’re able.  We’d be delighted to deliver a tour or presentation to any company considering supporting Diverse Abilities, to show exactly who we are and what we do. We can work with you to set up a bespoke programme of events and activities throughout the year.

Fundraising

Fancy a skydive? A trek? A round of golf? What about a team evening out with live music? Our events and challenges are a great way to step out of your comfort zone, build comradery, there’s something for everyone so click here to check out our latest event listings.

Why not organise your own fundraising event or challenge? Host a bake sale, run 100 miles over a month, host a pub quiz, or whatever you fancy taking on. Get in contact with us and we will be more than happy to offer guidance and support on your fundraising endeavours. ‍

Volunteer

Volunteering has so many benefits, for both us and you, and there’s lots of opportunities to get involved whether it’s with our services or at our fundraising events. Click here to find out more.

Match Funding

Many companies offer match funding schemes to their employees that are fundraising for charity. Most give a £1 donation for every £1 raised by their employees, so if you’re doing any fundraising then be sure to find out if your company can double what you raise.

Sponsorship

Every year we host many events and activities that require sponsorship. This is a great opportunity to provide valuable financial support to Diverse Abilities at the same time as raising the awareness of your brand.

In return, you’ll receive many benefits including coverage in the local news, your logo on our marketing materials, social media support, and so much more. We’ll tailor it according to your key business objectives.

If you want to find out about the latest sponsorship opportunities available, call 01202 718266 or click here to send a message to our events team.

Gifts in Kind

As well as raising money, some companies are able to donate their goods or services to help us reduce our expenditure.

For example, Brewers, Crown, Travis Perkins and the Dulux Decorating Centre provided paint and materials which teams of volunteers from other companies have used in decorating Supported Living homes and also our new Treehouse centre.  Materials for indoor and outdoor projects have also been donated by Trents, Wickes, Keyline, Plants for Trade, John Lewis, and Mata Construction. Without this help so many projects, to improve facilities and brighten spaces for the people we support, just couldn’t happen.

We are incredibly grateful to companies who donate towards raffles and auctions, such as hampers, experiences, meals out, jewellery, and much more.

You could even set up a ‘Gift Amnesty’ within your workplace, asking people to donate any unwanted gifts to Diverse Abilities.

If you or your company are able to help us in any way, we would love to hear from you.  Call or email us at 01202718266 or fundraising@diverseabilities.org.uk to discuss any of the ideas, arrange drop offs or request we collect from you.

What you can expect in return

As well as being well looked after by our fundraising team, we’ll give you all the tools you need to make your fundraising as easy as possible.

We’ll work alongside your team to create a bespoke calendar of events including volunteer opportunities, events, challenges and employee fundraising, allowing you to demonstrate your commitment to corporate social responsibility.
