Anne-Marie, Advice Team Advisor

Anne-Marie works in our Advice Team, answering disability benefit advice calls and queries, helping to complete application forms, drafting of lasting powers of attorney, disability benefit and LPA talks, client referrals and advice team administration.

Before working for Diverse Abilities, I was a salon owner, a Beauty & Holistic Therapist, and a Life Coach and Further Education lecturer in Beauty & Holistic Therapies.

My role with DA involves answering disability benefit advice calls and queries, helping to complete application forms, drafting of lasting powers of attorney documents, disability benefit and LPA talks, client referrals and advice team administration.

The part of the role I find most challenging is when there are unsuccessful applications, I deal with it by telling myself that I’ve done the best that I can within the service we provide. However, my favourite part of the job is hearing about successful applications!

The aspirations and intentions that I have are to continue in my advisor role and to be the best carer I can be to my husband and parents who all have lifelong conditions.
