Recruitment Day for Diverse Abilities
Diverse Abilities’ Supported Living Service is hosting a recruitment day on Saturday, May 7 at Lighthouse, Poole.
Taking place between 10am and 1pm, potential applicants will have the chance to meet the team, find out more about the role, and to meet some of the adults supported by the charity.
Mandy Cunningham, one of the Supported Living managers, said: “You can expect a lot of variety in the Support Living team, no two days are ever the same! The adults we support enjoy going bowling, lunch at the pub, shopping trips, craft activities and even holidays abroad.
“You’ll be there to support them with their daily activities and take part in the things they really enjoy. The hours can be flexible, whether you are looking for a full or part time role.”
Established in 2003, the Supported Living Services provides care in their homes for adults with physical and learning disabilities across Poole and Bournemouth every day. The charity provides flexible and individual services, enabling people to live in their own home with as much independence as possible. Each person supported has a dedicated team who knows them well and are aware of exactly how they wish to live.
The role of personal support assistant is available on a full time, part time, and bank basis and provides flexibility around other commitments as top up income. No prior experience is required as full training will be given.
Tom Holmes, Commercial Sales & Events Manager from Lighthouse, said: “It’s great to be able to work with the local community, and support the fantastic work that Diverse Abilities does to support the adults in their Supported Living Service.”
