Get crafty this Spring

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s Disability Charity, is offering new craft activities to their craft clubs this Spring.

Following the success of the craft events over the last couple of years, the charity will be offering a different craft workshop every month giving supporters a chance to try out a range of different activities:

Block Printing

Tuesday 3rd March – 6pm-8pm

The Treehouse, Merritown Lane, Christchurch, BH23 6DT

Led by Sunny Bunny Crafts, this workshop will teach you all about the basics of printing with Indian Printing Blocks.

There’s a selection of different patterns, shapes, animals, icons, letters, etc. to choose from so we’ll start off practising on scrap fabric and you’ll make a tea towel to take home with you.

Dried Flower Bouquets

Tuesday 14th April – 6pm-8pm

Brothers Farm, Stapehill Road, Wimborne, BH21 7ND

Using flowers grown on site at Brothers Farm, you will be guided through the process of making your very own bouquet.

You will learn the techniques involved, as well as sharing advice on care and conditions to help preserve dried blooms for as long as possible. We’ll also be looking at how to manipulate dried flowers to create a unique arrangement for your home.

Demi Tarrant, events executive at Diverse Abilities commented: “We are really looking forward to adding two new crafts to our craft club events. It’s a great opportunity to spend an evening doing something different and taking home something you have created. You will also be raising money for a local charity supporting children and adults with disabilities.”
