Entertainment confirmed for Dorset’s Neon Run

Clubbercise and pilates is on the menu at the 2020 Dorset Neon Run. Hosted by Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities, the event, which is now in its fourth year, takes in a 5-kilometre course around Poole Park, where participants can run, jog, walk or dance their way around.

Taking place on Saturday 25 April, Dorset Neon Run is open to anyone over the age of 12 and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Registration opens at 8pm, with the warmup at 9.10pm and the race starting at 9.30pm.

Emma Darling, who is hosting the Clubbercise warmup, said: “I’m so happy to get to come back for the third time and get everyone raring and raving ready for the run. The atmosphere is always electrifying so I’m hoping to hear some whoop whoops on the night! Each year I bring new tracks to get ready to, so grab your glow sticks and glow paint and let’s warm up in true Clubbercise style.”

Participants will be provided with a Dorset Neon Run t-shirt and are encouraged to participate in bright colours to help light up the night.

Pre-event massages, advice and kinesiology sports taping will also be available prior to the start of the run.

Alex Moore, a representative of the Sports Therapy Association for the South Coast, said: “I am always on the lookout for events that our therapists are able to help out at, especially charity-based ones. When the call came from Diverse Abilities, I knew I wanted to be involved. Diverse Abilities is a charity I have known about for a long time, I have seen first-hand how hard they work and how passionate they are, so I was extremely keen to help.”
