Cybèle delivers Building Confidence workshop to parents and carers

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s Disability Charity, welcomed Cybèle to The Treehouse in Hurn to deliver valuable ‘Building Confidence’ Workshop to parents and carers of children with disabilities.

Cybèle is a Training and Consultancy organisation based in Salisbury, with an ongoing commitment to community and social responsibility. The first on-site workshops have been created to equip parents with practical tools for confidence and emotional wellbeing, with plans in place to continue the programme during 2026.

Diverse Abilities hosts regular parent support sessions for the families it supports, and activities vary each time between practical and professional workshops and advice, to opportunities to relax, unwind, and have fun.

One of the parents who attended the workshop commented: “The team were so approachable and knowledgeable – it was amazing help and I’m really looking forward to the next session.”

Carole Stevenson, Director at Cybèle, commented: “We are truly delighted to be supporting the incredible parents of those cared for and supported by Diverse Abilities. The challenges they face every day require extraordinary strength, patience, and resilience. Our workshops are designed to help parents rebuild and maintain confidence and find space to reflect, share and connect. We hope to provide a few hours where they can focus on themselves and feel supported by others who understand their journey.”
