Christmas Carols in Wimborne for Diverse Abilities
Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, hosts its annual Christmas Carol Concert at Wimborne Minster, on Wednesday, December 21.
The evening, supported by Colten Care, will be hosted by Blair Crawford, the founder and president of Hope FM. Special guest speakers on the evening include Christine Bueno, Former Deputy of Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, and Maggie ‘The Seaside Baker’, the local resident featured on last year’s series of The Great British Bake Off and John Smith, Chair of Diverse Abilities.
Doors open at 6pm and attendees can expect festive performances from Sound of Soul, one of the South’s leading choirs and classically trained Mezzo soprano Lucy Donovan accompanied by pianist Leonie Thurlow. Entertainment will also come from Razzamataz Bournemouth, a new theatre school for ages four to 18 specialising in musical theatre as well as pop genres.

Mariana Swain, events fundraising officer at Diverse Abilities, said: “We are really getting into the festive spirit this year. We are hoping for a big turnout for our Carol Concert, we’d love people to come along with their friends and family for a fantastic evening whilst supporting children and adults with disabilities in Dorset.”
Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children aged 11-16 years or free for children under 10. Alternatively, a family ticket can be purchased for £28, with all funds raised going to Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity.
