Chez Fred provides free Christmas lunch for charity

Westbourne’s Chez Fred provided a complimentary lunch for 12 families supported by Diverse Abilities’ Coping with CHAOS service on Christmas Eve.

Families enjoyed lunch in a relaxed environment and visits from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and Jamie Jigsaw made the event extra special.

Coping with CHAOS provides a range of services for children and young people while supporting many families in Dorset, including play sessions during the school holidays, a youth club for teenagers with disabilities, and an advice and guidance service for parents.

Nicole Davey, corporate and community manager, commented: “The team at Chez Fred have been absolutely fantastic in organising this for the families we support, and we are so grateful for their generous offer. Everyone has had a great time, smiles all around, and even a visit from Father Christmas himself.

“Many of the families we support find trips such as these quite stressful due to all the unknowns of the environment, but the team here have created an informal dining environment that takes any potential stress away from the situation.”
