Meet Nick, Corporate Fundraiser

The three words I would use to describe myself are ‘thinking outside the box’.

Before joining Diverse Abilities, I had various jobs including Sales Manager, Store Owner, Casino Manager and Hotel Manager.

My days usually involve talking to contacts, meeting new people and seeing how these people can help Diverse Abilities, whether that is through volunteering or making donations.

My biggest challenge is working in an office environment, as it is different from what I’ve done before.

My favourite memory so far is receiving my first cheque as a donation to Diverse Abilities.

My advice for anyone starting their career with Diverse Abilities is to get to understand the full scope of DA and get out and meet the other services and understand what they do.
