Meet Georgie, Short Breaks Assistant
Find out more about Georgie’s role at Diverse Abilities:
I would sum myself up as sociable, fun and confident.
Before coming to Diverse Abilities I was a student studying Sociology and Criminology at Winchester university.
When I first started at Diverse Abilities, I found supervising sessions difficult and always second guessed myself, however since then I have built up my confidence and skills through training to allow me to always be prepared for any situation.
My favourite memory is taking a group of siblings from our STARs service to Chessington for the day! We had an amazing day and it was so lovely to be able to give something back to the siblings who do not always get time for themselves.
have only recently become full time with the short breaks team as a short breaks assistant and I love it! I am excited to see how this role develops over time.
My advice to new starters is to have fun and enjoy the time you spend making amazing memories with some brilliant people!
