Meet Caitlin, Social Media & Marketing Assistant

The three words I would use to describe myself are outgoing, creative and adventurous.

Before coming to Diverse Abilities, I have worked in marketing roles for nearly four years, mainly within local businesses. I studied my undergraduate and MA degree at Bournemouth University and have lived here for most of my life.

My main responsibility is the Diverse Abilities social media platforms – this involves content creation, copywriting, planning and scheduling of posts. As well as analysing performance and strategising for future campaigns/posts. In my role, no two days are the same and that’s why I love it. Some days I’ll be focusing on content creation for our social media profiles and others, I’ll be spending my time on email marketing or design work.

’d like to continue to see more of the world, I love to travel and to experience new things. Career-wise, I’d like to stay in a creative role as I feel this is where I thrive the most and I enjoy working in the charity sector as I find it really rewarding.

My advice for anyone starting at Diverse Abilities is to get stuck in - it’s the best way to learn! Everyone is so welcoming and there really is no question too silly, so don’t be afraid to ask.
