Waking Night Support Assistant

Adult Services - Supporting Living, Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole

We are looking to recruit a female waking night support assistant to join our Supported Living team providing care to adults with disabilities in their own home. Our Supported Living Team work hard to provide care around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. There’s a whole range of fantastic characters for you to meet and get to know when you’re working with us.

Hours per week : We have 2 vacancies with the following patterns:

Vacancy 1

9 hours per week average

Week 1

Saturday 10pm - 7am

Week 2

Saturday 10pm - 7am

Vacancy 2

15.25 hours per week on average - working on a 2 week rolling rota

Week 1

Saturday 10pm - 9.30am (if you are a driver, the shift would finish at 10am)

Week 2

Sunday 10pm - 7am
Thursday 9pm - 7am

Please note: from 10pm to 7am the hourly rate is £13.52 - £14.24, from 7am until 10am the hourly rate is £12.21.

More about the role…

This role requires staff to:

  • provide an excellent level of support and care

  • perform basic household tasks including cooking, cleaning, & laundry

  • drive, respect and maintain the person supported’s vehicle

Essential skills required:

  • full, UK manual driving licence

  • basic numeracy & literacy

  • empathy & compassion
