Take to the skies with Diverse Abilities
Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s Disability Charity, is encouraging people to take on a Skydive or Wing Walk this year to raise money to support children and adults with disabilities in Dorset.
On Saturday, July 27 at Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury, experience the feeling of free-falling 10,000ft or 15,000ft whilst attached to a professional instructor. You will enjoy a magical five-minute parachute ride across the beautiful countryside which includes awesome views of sites of prehistoric interest. If you are unable to make the date, then you can choose from your preferred date on a Thursday-Monday from May onwards.
Or would you prefer to experience a one of kind thrill by taking on the wing walk? Flown by a qualified wing walking display pilot you’ll get the opportunity to complete flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives and banks in front of friends and family with speeds of up to 120mph. Choose from the following dates – 31st May, 1st June, 2nd June, 26th July, 27th July or 28th July.
Every fundraiser will receive:
A complimentary Diverse Abilities t-shirt to wear in your jump,
Regular updates about the charity and your challenge,
Dedicated and one-to-one support from the charity’s events team,
Access to fundraising tips and advice.
Francesca Potton, community fundraiser at Diverse Abilities, commented: “At Diverse Abilities we want to encourage our fundraisers to do something that really challenges them, and what better way to do that than to take to the skies! Fundraisers can take part as individuals, or as part of a group of friends or colleagues. We offer all the support you need to get the most out of your fundraising journey.”
Your challenge will only last a short time, but for the people we support and their families, their challenges can be for a lifetime. With your help, we can be there to provide vital care and support to children and adults across Dorset.
