Open Day for Careers in Children’s Care
The Children’s Team at Diverse Abilities are hosting an open day inviting everyone to come and find out more about careers in children’s care supporting children and young people with disabilities.
The open day takes place between 9am and 6pm on Wednesday, June 12 at Lily’s Place, the charity’s children’s respite home at 17-19 Manor Avenue, Poole, BH12 4LB.
The open day is an opportunity for potential applicants to find out more about roles in the children’s teams. There are part-time and full-time roles available, and includes roles supporting children at Lily’s Place, working in the transitions team supporting 19-25 year olds, as well as supporting children in their family home.
Claire Stacey, children’s team manager commented: “This is a great opportunity to come and find out more about a career with Diverse Abilities, whether you are new to care, or are looking for the next step in your career. We’ll be offering tours of Lily’s Place, giving you a chance to find out about the incredibly rewarding opportunities we have available.”
Tours will be running hourly, and can be booked in advance by emailing children@diverseabilities.org.uk.
For those unable to make the open day, there will also be an online information session on the same day, between 1pm and 2pm. Potential applicants can register their interest and receive a link to the zoom call by emailing children@diverseabilities.org.uk.
