OnBuy helps bring Christmas to children at Diverse Abilities
OnBuy.com, the UK’s online marketplace, has supported Diverse Abilities’ Christmas grotto for the third year in a row.
The grotto, hosted at Coping with CHAOS in West Moors, saw 71 children attend to meet Father Christmas and receive presents.
Amy Topp, short breaks coordinator at Diverse Abilities, commented: “This is always one of our favourite times of year. It’s great to see to create our own magical Christmas grotto, and invite all the families we support to meet Father Christmas and get their very own present. We received a lot of great feedback from the children and their parents alike.”
Feedback from the families includes:
‘Thank you for such a magical time and all the hard work that made it happen. We are truly grateful’
‘We had an amazing time as always and the gifts are brilliant! So perfect for both my children. Thank you so much’
‘Thank you so much for this awesome experience’
‘Can’t thank you all enough for the hard work and amazing effort that was put into the grotto! It was truly magical. Santa was brilliant and the gifts were so lovely. Thank you so much for the photo of the 4 of us too as we don’t get many of those. What a magical start to Christmas’
Coping with CHAOS and Project My Time support children aged up to 18 with additional needs, and their families, through play sessions during the school holidays, family sessions, advice and guidance for parents, and weekend clubs for children and their siblings.

Cas Paton, OnBuy’s founder and CEO, added: “We take pride in supporting our community, so it’s fantastic to be able to give back to organisations on our doorstep here in Dorset. Christmas should be a magical time for all children, and I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to play a part in creating some magic for the families that Diverse Abilities support.
“With costs rising, it’s going to be crucial, for those of us who can, to find ways to help charitable causes so that they can continue supporting those who need it most.”
