Let the kids get creative this festive season
Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s Disability Charity, are giving kids a chance to get creative this December.
On Saturday 9 December, the charity will be hosting a Christmas Biscuit Workshop with Maggie the Seaside Baker, a popular former contestant of the Great British Bake Off. The event, held at the Dolphin Centre, will guide children through the art of decorating homemade biscuits.
Maggie will be baking the biscuits ahead of time, and the charity will provide everything needed to decorate the biscuits on the day.
Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities commented: “We are really looking forward to our Christmas Biscuit Workshop with Maggie. Last year she hosted a Christmas Pudding Workshop which received fantastic feedback, this year we wanted to give the kids a chance to get creative, learn a new skill and take some tasty biscuits home to enjoy with their families. We are the Dolphin Centre’s Charity of the Year, so their Gather space was the perfect location to hold this exciting new event.”
There will be two sessions over the day, one at 12pm and one at 2pm, each lasting around one hour.
Places are limited, so early booking is essential. Tickets are available at diverseabilities.org.uk/biscuitworkshop, and cost £6 for one child, £10 for two children, £14 for three children and £18 for four children.
