Hoburne donation to support children’s respite home in Poole

Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, has received a very generous donation of £5,000 from Hoburne Group Support Services, based in Christchurch.

Linked to the charity for over 13 years, Hoburne has offered invaluable support and expertise to the charity in that time, raising more than £58,000.

Hoburne’s recent donation will help Diverse Abilities to support children at Lily’s Place, the charity’s respite home, to allow overnight and weekend stays for children with profound and complex needs. This will help to relieve the pressure from families and give them a break and quality time to spend with their other children.

Laura Stanley, relationship manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “We are extremely thankful to Hoburne for all its support. This donation will help us to support children with profound and complex needs and their families. We are so grateful to everyone at Hoburne head office for continuing to support our cause.”

Director of Hoburne, Rosie Kennar, added: “Diverse Abilities is a charity very close to our hearts, and as a local family-run business, knowing that the money we have donated supports families in need across Dorset makes it even more worthwhile. We have the opportunity to raise more for Diverse Abilities in July with our charity golf day and we still have places available.”

Hoburne’s Golf Day for Diverse Abilities takes place on Wednesday 19th July at Crane Valley Golf Club. To find out more and to sign up your team, visit diverseabilities.org.uk/golfday.
