Experienced Gardeners and Green-Fingered Beginners Wanted to Help Dorset Disability Charity

‍Diverse Abilities is seeking volunteer gardeners to help maintain and develop the outdoor spaces at The Treehouse in Hurn, creating welcoming and accessible environments for children and adults with disabilities to enjoy all year round.

‍The Dorset charity is looking for volunteers of all experience levels to join its friendly gardening group, which meets every Thursday during term time from 1pm to 3pm at The Treehouse, Merritown Lane, Hurn, Christchurch. The group return after a break over the summer holidays on Thursday 10th September.

‍Becky Edwards, Marketing and Volunteers Executive at Diverse Abilities, commented: "Our outside space at The Treehouse provide a valuable space for the people we support, and we're always delighted to welcome new volunteers to our group. Whether you're an experienced gardener or someone looking to develop new skills, volunteering with our gardening group is a great way to meet people, spend time outdoors and make a real difference to a local charity.".

‍Volunteering also offers a range of personal benefits, including improving wellbeing, learning practical gardening skills, staying active and making new connections within the community.
