Diverse Abilities offers Country Spirit with ‘Country Roots’ Night

Dorset-based disability charity Diverse Abilities is inviting the community to saddle up for a feel-good evening of music, dancing, and fundraising at Country Roots, a popular country-themed event taking place on Friday 5 June 2026 at The Treehouse, Merritown Lane, Christchurch.

Country Roots promises a night of “all things country”, featuring live music, line dancing, delicious food trucks, a bar, and plenty of fundraising fun—all in support of the children and adults supported by the charity across Dorset.

Live music for the evening will come from Route 66, a Dorset-based country and folk-inspired band of accomplished singers, songwriters and musicians. Guests can also take part in line dancing sessions, included with general admission tickets, making it the perfect night out for both seasoned line dancers and enthusiastic beginners.

Tickets are available for general admission (£19.50), which includes two line dancing sessions, or guests can upgrade to a VIP ticket (£25), which also includes a bag of exclusive goodies and a complimentary soft drink. With demand expected to be high, attendees are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities commented: “We’re really looking forward to our next Country Roots event, following the success of the two events we held last year. We’ve got a great line-up of entertainment including Dorset based band Route 66, and two line dancing classes which are perfect for everyone – whether you are a pro or an absolute beginner.”

Country Roots is an adults-only event taking place from 6pm-10.30pm, and all proceeds will go towards supporting Diverse Abilities’ vital work, helping people with disabilities and their families live more fulfilled lives.
