Diverse Abilities launches campaign to help boost wellbeing at home

The campaign, Wellbeing @ Home, seeks to support those following the social distancing and government lockdown guidelines, with the option of also supporting Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities.

Taking place over three weeks, content provided is suitable for the whole family, including magic shows, yoga workshops, sign-and-sign-along songs, and story time.

Those who use and enjoy the materials, also have the option to donate to the charity and support its running costs, alongside its emergency appeal to raise funds due to increased costs during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Emma Bovey, fundraising manager at Diverse Abilities, commented: “The people we support are part of our family at Diverse Abilities, and being able to continue to support them online during this difficult time helps to keep some semblance of normality in their lives – and if we can share these tactics and activities with the wider community, then why not! We all need a helping hand to keep going at the moment, so we hope our content will be valuable to everyone looking to keep grounded.”

Follow the charity on social media for daily updates, or visit diverseabilities.org.uk/wellbeing for the activities.
