Lawford Lodge
Lawford Lodge is a respite home in Hamworthy for young adults aged 18 to 25.
We support those with profound disabilities and complex medical needs. Our team will also support your young person in their transition to adult services, whether that’s within Diverse Abilities or with another provider.
How to access
In order to access Lawford Lodge, a referral is required by the funding authority.
What to expect
Lawford Lodge is a two-bedroom bungalow with a lounge area, kitchen, accessible bathroom, and a large flat garden. There are also hoisting facilities throughout the home.
Adults with complex needs can come for breaks, which can vary in length dependent on assessed need, for example, one night per month or two nights per week.
Timetables are created based on each individual’s preferences and needs, and these include physiotherapy, life skills, sensory activities, social interactions, and much more.
Our support workers want to help everyone to live their lives as independently as possible.
Every activity at Lawford Lodge is bespoke to the individual, and we’ll make sure whichever adult provider your young person moves on to knows all the relevant likes and dislikes.
Costs
Costs are dependent on needs, for more information contact the management team.
High standards of care
Lawford Lodge is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Full support can be provided for all care needs, and all our staff are highly trained and experienced in a variety of care techniques.
Staff work closely with social workers and healthcare professionals to ensure all needs are met, as well as support to access the local community.
