Meet Carly, Night Lead at Lawford Lodge and Lily’s Place

Hello I’m Carly and I am the Night Lead Support at Lawford Lodge and Lily’s place:

I’d describe myself as calm, thoughtful and compassionate. My role as night lead includes gaining information from the day leads, supporting the night team with the duties for the night and regular supports with the team. And making sure the children and young people are given our full attention and care during their stay with us.

My favourite memory so far, would have to be taking part in the Diverse Hike, which meant I could get to know the team a bit more and meet others from different services. As for the future, that’s a tricky one, I’d hope to still be with Diverse Abilities maintaining a lead role or higher. For my family to enjoy what we have and experience new things as they come along.

For anyone that begins their Diverse journey, whether that be nights or days, never be afraid to ask questions, there is always someone to answer them. Be yourself and enjoy getting to know the young people you support as you will learn a lot from them as they will from you!
