Collection pots & bucket collections

It’s true what they say, if you look after the pennies the pounds do look after themselves, which is why collection pots and bucket collections are so vitally important to help towards the money we raise each year.

Collection pots

One of our supporters, Lorraine, placed a collection bucket at her work: “I didn’t realise that helping to raise money for Diverse Abilities would be so easy – we have had a collection pot on the counter at Chalbury Wine Stores, Weymouth, and raised £166 within nine months!”

“The charity provides the pots and change them over when they’re full, it couldn’t be easier. I told my friend how simple it is and now she has one in her store too, raising £77 in six months. I’m really pleased to be able to help Diverse Abilities and would encourage others to see if they can make a difference through collection pots too.”

Our collection pots now also feature cashless donation options, either through text or a unique JustGiving page, so people can help quickly even if they don’t have any cash. We’ll include these totals as part of your amount raised.

Bucket collections

If you’re holding an event, then a bucket collection will be perfect for you. This is an easy way to collect loose change at an event that you or a club may be hosting such as a pub quiz, an art exhibition, a play, a gig, or even a comedy show.

Along with our collection pots, our buckets also have cashless donation options, and we’ll make these unique to your event.

Perhaps you run a business and want to host a bucket collection? We find these work best over weekends, and even over multiple days. We can even provide the volunteers to collect on behalf of your business.

 
Blue Diverse Abilities collection pots

All of our collection pots are also set up to receive cashless donations. Each has its own QR code for people to give any amount using JustGiving, and a text code that donates £3. The codes are unique to the pots so we can track your total income, including the pennies in the pot.
