Celebrating a partnership with Classic Cars on the Prom

Following a four-year fundraising partnership, the committee at Classic Cars on the Prom has raised £2,500 for Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities.

Classic Cars on the Prom (CCOTP) is a club for likeminded classic car enthusiasts in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas to display their lovingly preserved and cared for motors.

Emma Bovey, fundraising manager at Diverse Abilities, commented: “We’ve had an excellent partnership with Classic Cars on the Prom over the years, and the people we support have loved the opportunities to see all the different cars on display each week. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the committee for all their fundraising over the years and wish them luck on their future endeavours.”

Ashley Miller, secretary at Classic Cars on the Prom, added: “Diverse Abilities is a great local charity, and one of many that we have supported through the years of running these events in Bournemouth. Attracting hundreds of people every week, our events have been a fantastic platform to provide these local organisations with an extra level of awareness in the community.”

The pandemic affected the calendar of events for Classic Cars on the Prom in 2020, until they were able to relocate to the Cat and Fiddle Farm, near Hinton, as Classic Cars on the Farm (CCOTF) for the end of the summer. CCOTF will return in 2021 at the farm and at Christchurch Quay. Search for the organisation on Facebook for more details about future events.
