Donate in memory

It’s always very sad when we lose a loved one, whether it’s a family member or a friend.

Many people choose to remember a loved one on their birthday, anniversary or special occasion by donating in their memory to a favourite cause.

“Sadly, my mother Phyllis, the founder of Diverse Abilities, and my sister Marilyn, who had cerebral palsy and was the reason my mother founded the charity, passed away in 2019. It gives me great pleasure in remembering them on their birthdays and at Christmas by donating to Diverse Abilities.”

- Wendy Barfoot

There are a number of ways you can donate in memory of your loved one;

  • You can send a cheque payable to Diverse Abilities to Freepost RTZZ-BRLK-GLGA, Diverse Abilities Central Office, Langside School, Langside Avenue, Poole, Dorset, BH12 5BN,

  • You can call and speak to our fundraising team on 01202 718266,

  • Or you can click here and make a donation online.

Alternatively, you can organise a collection at a funeral, or ask friends and family to make a donation to Diverse Abilities instead of sending flowers. You can either do this yourself, or as your funeral director to assist with the collection.

Donating in memory is a good way to celebrate your loved one’s life and make their memory last, as well as providing further support to disabled adults and children throughout Dorset.
